Direct Support Professional

Works to improve, enrich and respect the lives of individuals with developmental, physical, and mental disabilities
Develop and implement behavioral management care plans
Maintain accurate case management reports
Develop and implement plans for individuals to achieve greater independence, their daily goals, and community integration
Supervise individuals with their Activities of Daily Life
Administer daily medications
Assist with day-by-day operations of the residence accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policy and quality program standards.
Mentor, coach, and emphasize behavioral management to residents with developmental disabilities.
Assist residents with personal living and daily care activities in their home and community and provided direct supervision to the individuals.
Trained in providing medication to residents
Demonstrate the ability to understand and communicate in verbal and nonverbal formats

Our Opportunities

Direct Support Professionals are the lifeblood of our services. The real work of advancing the quality of life of people with disabilities is delivered by our front line staff, who, at any given moment, may be a coach, mentor, counselor, or an advocate. In another moment, they may become a nurse, cook, financial planner, or even a political lobbyist.
