Buckeye Community services is a private not for profit agency that was established in 1977. We have provided more than 41 years of service to people who have developmental disabilities in Southeastern Ohio. We serve 190 individuals in Jackson, Gallia, Meigs, Athens, Hocking, Vinton, and Pike counties. We recently added Ross county for Employment Related Services. We are proud to employ more than 375 Direct Support Professionals. We continually strive to provide and maintain the best possible services for our consumers in a caring and person centered environment.
Our Opportunities
Buckeye Community Services employs people to provide supports for individuals who have a developmental disability in their own homes or apartment, group home and foster home settings. We also provide day habilitation and job training and support for folks who need and want assistance in working in the community.
Duties include but are not limited to direct care assistance with daily living skills, hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, budgeting, social activities, and appointments. We also assist people with job exploration, development and coaching.
We have a variety of shift opportunities including afternoon, evening, overnight, weekday, weekend, and Foster care.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, three years good driving experience and adequate automobile insurance required.
