Our Service Providers

Horizons of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties, Inc.

~ Our agency began in the heart of an aging parent whose concern for her adult developmentally disabled child was to keep her from being placed in an institution after the parent passed away. From this desire evolved the residential services of Horizons of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties, Inc., a non-profit organization which has been in operation for more than 40 years.
~ Horizons of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties, Inc. offers residential services as well as non-medical transportation, day array services and employment services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We also provide residential support to individuals who reside in an Intermediate Care Facility, located in northern Tuscarawas County. Horizons is also an approved provider of public transportation in Tuscarawas County.
~ Although we are a multi-county agency we strive to individualize supports provided, while supporting each person to live his or her life to the fullest.
~ Direct Support Professionals provide support in Ashland, Carroll, Coshocton, Harrison, Jefferson, Knox, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties.
Non-Medical transportation services are available in Jefferson, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.
~ Individuals receiving waiver services in Tuscarawas County may choose to attend Avenues of Adventure to receive adult day support or employment services. Employment Services available at Avenues of Adventure include; Career Planning services and Vocational Habilitation. Avenues of Adventure operates from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday thru Friday and from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday. We do recognize variations in scheduling may be needed in order to support people working toward employment in their community and are prepared to as needed.
~ Horizons of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties, Inc. is also an approved provider of Employment First services as authorized by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.

Our Opportunities

We are always accepting applicants for Direct Support Professionals in Ashland, Carroll, Coshocton, Harrison, Jefferson, Knox, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available in most areas.

We continually accept applications for drivers in Jefferson, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.

In Tuscarawas County Direct Support and Employment Professionals are needed for our Day Service program.
